A New Zero Carbon Neighbourhood

35 New Zero Carbon Homes in Pontardawe, South Wales.

Our client, Sero Homes, required 4 External CGI images to help visualise their new scheme of Zero Carbon Homes in the Pontardawe village of South Wales. As one of the world’s first true ‘net zero carbon in operation’ neighbourhoods, the new CGIs will help visualise how the Parc Hadau development will give future residents the capability of pursuing a zero carbon lifestyle.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Sero Homes had secured planning permission to develop a new scheme of 35 Zero Carbon Homes, with construction expected to start in the summer of 2020. To generate maximum interest and attract potential buyers, our client were keen to start marketing their new project early by using CGI images to help promote the quality of the specification they are offering.

As this development aims to be one of the first zero carbon neighbourhoods, it would be important to convey the quality of the homes by showcasing the low energy building designs, as well as emphasising the wildlife landscape of which the development is situated. iCreate were commissioned to produce high quality external CGIs to envision the scheme through contrasting angles.

THE SOLUTION

Working closely with Welsh architects Loyn + Co and landscape architects Farrer Huxley, iCreate delivered 4 external CGIs showcasing the new Parc Hadau development. By working with the architects, this ensured that iCreate produced accurate CGIs for this pioneering new scheme.

Effort was made to emphasise the surrounding nature and wildlife in order to bring to life how landscaping at Parc Hadau is central to the overall design of the scheme. The CGI deliverables help provide potential residents with a unique sense of place and to visualise the day-to-day lifestyle of a zero carbon neighbourhood.
