Dover District Council - Case Study

THE OPPORTUNITY

Dover District Council required a 3D schematic presenting all their upcoming regeneration projects and development opportunities across the town centre, to promote key sites to investors and present a cohesive vision for the town’s future. The goal was to attract investment and demonstrate the level of ambition that exists in Dover, as well as its heritage, connectivity and potential, to capitalise on its location as the gateway to Great Britain.

THE SOLUTION

iCreate successfully tendered for this contract, and delivered a 3D flyaround of the town that encompasses more than 20 key development sites in a compelling presentation. We worked with partners from across various council departments, and participated in a range of internal meetings to ensure full political and officer buy-in, as well as making sure we were properly briefed, enabling colleagues from across the Council to feed in to the process. Over a four month period, we worked closely with the regeneration team, convening weekly project meetings as the flythrough progressed, and finally delivering an animation that all partners were delighted with, telling the story of Dover’s emerging future. The 3D modelling of the town will be updated periodically as the Council’s plans continue to advance.
